INS Shivaji is the premier technical training establishment of the Indian Navy. Nestled amongst the picturesque hills of Sahyadri ranges in the Western Ghats of the Indian sub continent, Shivaji can be termed as the `highest ship' in the world.

INS Shivaji is an ISO 9001:2000 certified establishment, well equipped to impart state of the art training in Engineering and Marine Technology. We, at Shivaji, take on with pride the onerous task of training technical officers and sailors of the Indian Navy, Coast Guard and friendly foreign navies. The trainees are guided by a highly experienced faculty on all aspects of Marine Engineering and Electrical Technology. Imparting high quality training and to upgrade infrastructure to match with the contemporary technology is the foremost task we undertake as Trainers in this prestigious establishment.

A unique feature of INS Shivaji is the vast number of sporting events conducted all round the year. A great deal of emphasis is given to outdoor activities with active participation by all personnel, trainees, and staff. A number of facilities are provided to enhance awareness and encourage active participation in sports and games amongst personnel, in keeping with the adage of `a healthy mind in a healthy body'.

At INS Shivaji, the vision of NWWA has been to develop and fulfill the potential of every person. Volunteers of NWWA contribute their time, talent and skill towards welfare activities and upliftment of the under privileged.
