Ashiyana : A holiday home 'Ashiyana' located in the picturesque surroundings of the establishment next to Shivsagar Lake is available on hire for all personnel who wish to absorb the beauty of nature. The tariff rates per cabin per day are as follows:-

Atithi : Five redesigned air conditioned cabins with cooking facilities equipped with all modern day amenities are available for foreign trainee officers at Officers' Mess. These cabins are one of the finest available accommodation in the Indian Navy. Subject to availability, these can also be booked by serving officers, retired officers and civilian guests. Two categories of accommodation are available based on the covered area viz type ‘A' and ‘B'. Type ‘A' is bigger in size than type ‘B'. The rates are as follows:-

Transit Accomodation - Sailors : Transit accommodation for sailors is also available at the establishment @ Rs. 50/- per day.

Libraries : The establishment has the following three well stocked libraries having a wide range of text books, technical books, periodicals, books of references etc.

(b) Ships Central Library

(c) BR Library at CMET

Bank : The State Bank of India has a branch in the establishment. Traveler's cheques from international banks can be encashed at Bombay or Pune. The branch functions from 1030 hrs to 1430 hrs on working days and 1030 hrs to 1230 hrs on Saturdays. This branch has also got an ATM facility.

Communication Facility (STD/ISD) : Overseas dialing facility is available within the establishment. For contacting establishment dial 0091 (country code of India) 2114 (city code of Lonavla) 284861 to 67 (seven lines at INS Shivaji exchange) and ask for appropriate authority or Officer of the Day at extension 2266/2400.

Post & Telegraph Facility : A Post Office of P & T Department is available within the establishment with all postal and telegraphic facilities including Speed Post. Pin Code of the post office is 410402. This post office functions between 1030 hrs to 1530 hrs on all working days.

Railway Reservation Counter :  INS Shivaji is one of the few naval stations which boasts of an in house computerised railway reservation facility. The amenity provides immeasurable assistance to the Shivaji fraternity. 

Station Canteen : The establishment has a fully equipped self service station canteen. This canteen stocks items both from the CSD and INCS. The Canteen has been recently renovated and it now sports a grand 'Shopping mall' look.

Shopping Complex : The shopping complex houses general provisions and grocery stores, vegetable and fruit shops, tailor, sweets and snacks shops, bakery, stationery shops etc. This complex is generally kept open on all days.

Auditorium cum Cinema Hall : A Cinema Hall 'Menaka' is located within the establishment. Regular Movies, including latest English and Hindi movies are screened on all days at 2030 hrs with additional shows on holidays.

Cafeteria : A cafeteria 'Samudrika' has been recently built to cater for the Officers, Sailors and Civilian community at INS Shivaji.

Sailor's Holiday Home . Sailor's holiday home with five suites was commissioned in Apr 09 for use by serving and retired Sailors of Indian Navy. This has become popular not only with sailors of INS Shivaji, but also with sailors of all units of WNC and other outlying units. An amount of Rs 150 is charged per day.

Axis Bank ATM . The establishment had one ATM by SBI and a need was felt to establish one more ATM. ATM by Axis bank was inaugurated in Nov 09 in Canteen premises.

Adventure Activities : The Adventure and hobbies club of the establishment undertakes various adventure activities like cycling, trekking expeditions and rock climbing. These activities are aimed to inculcate the spirit of adventure, stamina building, endurance and brotherhood.

Waterman Ship Training Centre : The watermain-ship training centre, located next to Shivsagar Dam (one of the two lakes at INS Shivaji) has various facilities such as kayaks, sculls, sail boats and whalers for promoting water sports. The facilities are used for training as well as recreational activities by the trainees and staff of the establishment.

Amenity Transport : Amenity transport viz bus (33 seater), minibus (16 seater), Maruti Omni van and a Toyota Qualis are available on hire at nominal rates for routine visits/ excursions/ outings. Regular State Transport buses and naval routine transports ply between Lonavla and Shivaji at half hour intervals on all days. The establishment also has IOC Petrol pump located at MT Pool.

Sports Facilities : A modern gymnasium cum indoor basketball court named 'Abhimanyu' is the nerve centre for indoor sports. In addition, the establishment has a variety of courts and fields where Football, Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Tennis, Squash etc. are played by the trainees. The establishment also has an athletic track Olympic size swimming pool and health clubs for Officers, Sailors and their families. In addition, all types of indoor games like Billiards, Table Tennis etc. are also available.

Schools : There are three schools in the establishment:

• Play School 'Little Angels' for tiny tots up to 3 years age
• Naval KG School up to 06 years
• Kendriya Vidyalya (KV) Std.1 to Std. XII

Cable TV :  The Cable TV network provides access to a large number of channels available in the country, including all channels of Star network, BBC, Discovery channel, National Geographic etc. This facility can be availed by paying nominal subscription.

Ladies Club : A well organised club enables ladies to contribute to the social life of the establishment. The meeting of the club is held very often in the form of coffee evenings. Various classes on Computers, Typing, Knitting, Embroidery, Tailoring, painting etc are also conducted periodically.
